tripp and i have been taking some new routes while the river trails of tulsa are undergoing a major renovation. this particular path takes us up to the north end of the river near downtown.
on any given evening, you can find runners, walkers, cyclists, skateboarders. couples holding hands, babies in strollers, folks relaxing in park benches. there’s a small stage at one of the open air bars where local musicians can be heard sharing their passion for music of all types.
after weeks and weeks of rain, the riverparks is green and lush…it’s no wonder people flock here. and in the evening light with the gentle breeze carrying little tufts of cottowood through the air, it’s positively magic.
i know summer is technically still a couple of weeks away, but around here we’ve turned the corner past spring. the air is thick and sticky….the evening skies are soft and golden.
i love this time of year before the heat of the summer takes it toll and everything gets brown and crispy. and down by the river, it’s a great place to soak it all up.
happy thursday friends! xo
Loving those two images with the dappled light and gorgeous bokeh!
