September is a transition month in my neck of the woods. Change is in the air. And the Autumn Clematis is a sure sign that fall is on its way.
This past week, I took my camera on my evening walk. And just down the street from me, the Autumn Clematis grows wild along the walking trail. Sprawling over the tree branches, giant mounds of sweet white blooms give off an even sweeter scent. As I stood there snapping away, it just made me so happy. Which after a week of one terrible news story after another, was very much needed.
I don’t know you guys…sometimes its hard for me to blog about my “ordinary, wonderful life” when the world is experiencing extraordinary, devastating events. If feels disingenuous, heartless, callous, obtuse, oblivious…
I keep thinking of the song Let There Be Peace on Earth.
And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be
Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony
Let this be the moment now
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow
And live each moment
In peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin
With me
