good morning my friends. happy friday!
i am sitting here enjoying my coffee. relishing this last friday before heading back to work on monday.
{sidenote: can we just talk about how adorable this coffee cup is?? a christmas gift from my delightful daughter.}
for the next couple of days i am hoping to spend less time fretting about my to-do list that seems to auto-generate while i sleep. my office is still a mess and there are a million other little projects that i didn’t get done. but after my little new year’s day bout with the flu, i realized it just doesn’t matter.
nothing like feeling completely weak and utterly helpless to make me get my priorities straight.
as i look forward to 2014 i have been taking a hard look at my priorities. getting real about my dreaded ‘list’. it’s all part of my word for the coming year which i hope to share more about soon. it’s not that i’m trying to be coy, i just haven’t had time or the head space to put it together.
one thing i do know is that photography will stay on the list. it’s not just a hobby to fill in the empty spaces anymore. it’s how i see the world. and my life. and it brings me so much joy.
on that note, one of the best parts of having joy is being able to share it. and so i have created this monthly desktop calendar that you can use on your own computer if you would like.
click on the image above to be taken to the full-sized copy.
i will also have an archive of each month available for download here ~ https://ehr.urk.mybluehost.me/2014-desktop-calendars/
it’s super easy to install these. just right click on the full-sized image and save it to your ‘desktop’.
then to make it your background image, just go back to your desktop and right-click on the desktop icon. then choose ‘Set as desktop background’.
it’s just a very small token of my appreciation for all of your kindness. your love and support.
and so with that i think i am going to wrap this up. there is a treadmill calling my name and precious time to be spent with my family.
happy weekend friends.
love, kelly
I have the same list problem. I see what you mean about priorities. I am just now realizing that I can’t do all the projects I want and it doesn’t really matter. Some things I will get to later, some things I am ok letting go of.
I love that cup from your daughter. It has feet!
Love the calendar image! Thank you so much for sharing your beauty with us.
Ah, Kelly, always so good to hear you. I look forward to you list. The cup looks like an antique bathtub, the feet on it. Beautiful. What a gift to receive. My treadmill lost it’s voice. Laryngitis. I can’t hearrrrrr it.
Lovely weekend to you. Do not fret the “to do.”
Pam oxoxoxoxo
i’ve gotta admit, that coffee cup grabbed my attention for a full two minutes before i read your post. it is the cutest thing ever!
and your calendar is beautiful! glad to hear you’re feeling better—there really isn’t anything more eye-opening than having the flu. ; )
Happy new Year Kelly. Hope 2014 goes well for you. Love the calendar page.
Let me just join the chorus: Love, love, love the cup! Kelsey has good taste and knows you well.
