They say you can tell a lot about a woman by the contents of her purse.
Whoever “they” are.
Anyway, if you were to look in mine you’d find:
- my wallet overflowing with grocery store receipts
- makeup bag with 47 tubes of the same color (according to my daughter) lipgloss
- my Time.Mine where I *try* to keep up with all my family’s goings on
- a little spiral notebook full of scribbles, notes, lists, thoughts, and other assorted, random bit and pieces of effluvia floating around my head.
I am not the person you want in a crisis unless an inspirational quote or grocery list will get the job done.
My mother in law Penny (affectionately known by our family as Pi) however, is the person you want in an emergency. Pi is always prepared.
Tripp teases that Pi is the female MacGuyver and could save a sinking ship with the contents of her purse.
Headache – Pi’s got you covered. At a hobby store and need to know if something will fit – you got it – Pi can help!
She is the one you want with you at the lake if you need your non-twist off beer opened or your glasses fixed too.
But Pi is also the one to call when you bite off more than you can chew. She is there to lend a helping hand when you’re at the end of your rope. Pi will come to your rescue when you have a Baccalaureate party the next day but need help getting your closet put back together.
Pi is always there to fix whatever needs fixed either with her well-equipped purse or her open, giving heart. Which is usually the kind of fixing I need.
Thank goodness for Pi.
Peace, Kelly
