Hello friends! Happy Monday. How are you? I hope you had a great weekend. It was really dreary here. But guess what…it was wonderful. Perfect for hanging out at home. I like to call these kinds of weekends “nesting” – just loved being at home. Home making.
On Friday I spent some quality time in my kitchen and I am happy to report that I think I have finally perfected my stovetop mac & cheese recipe. Mmmmmmm… Noodles and Cheese….comfort food to the max.
I’ll try to share the recipe this week. It’s really yummy.
Friday I also got to spend some time outside working on my front porch pots. Loved these little orange-striped pumpkins.
And then on Saturday I worked on the side garden. Purple pansies are my favorite, btw.
Oh and look at this color of mum I got – ‘Miranda Orange’. I am totally in love with this color.
And last but not least, check out these awesome Black-eyed Susans! Are these not gorgeous! The proper name is Rudbeckia ‘Tiger Eye’.
Raise your hand if you started humming-
Bomp. BompBompBomp. BompBompBomp. BompBompBommmmmmmm.
This song so totally reminds me of 1985 and being in the pep band. All of us standing up in balcony in the gym during basketball games. Playing Eye of the Tiger. Sharing Funyons and Dr. Pepper with my friends.
Anyway, speaking of friends…
{horrible segue alert!!!}
The other thing I did this weekend was create a Facebook page for my little corner of the interwebs.
My plan is to share my blog posts there. And maybe some other fun stuff. So if you are so inclined, You can find me here. I’d love for us to be friends. I’ll share my Funyons and my Dr. Pepper. I promise though – no more cat hairball pictures.
So that’s about it around here. Think I’m going to sign off to get ready to watch my new Favorite show, Revolution. Oh and I think I’ll paint my nails too…maybe this OPI ‘Get in the Espresso Lane’.
I know – riveting stuff. So you can see why I need a Facebook page to keep the world informed.
Hope you have a wonderful week friends. Love, Kelly
hahaha! I’m in!! I will so follow the FB page!!! Oh wait already did! and did paint my nails this weekend too!! Great minds!! LOL! 🙂 Can’t wait for the mac and cheese recipe!!! 🙂
LOVE that mum color! Isn’t it lovely to have a home day? Sounds like you made perfect use of it–good for you!
I’d follow you if I did FB but alas, I’m not in there. I love following you here, though. I love the photos, the wonderful relaxed tone of back and forth, the all of it. That mac and cheese looks some yummy. Are the breadcrumb parts done under the broiler at the end? Pasta, oh, pasta… so good. Esp at this time of year. Your blog is a joy and a comfort, Kelly. And that nail polish rocks!
