There’s something so novel and magical about the first snow of the year.
So I took a quick walk around the yard with my camera before it all melts into a slushy mess tomorrow.
One of the photography newsletters I subscribe to has a 365 challenge. Basically it encourages people to take one photo a day, and on their website they have a cool list of suggestions for weekly themes. Well there is no way I’ll ever be able to keep up with a project like. I can barely keep up with my laundry. But I had an idea – I’ll take a picture of my front flowerbed from basically the same vantage point once a month to watch how it changes during the course of a year. I can keep up with that.
Maybe.
So here’s my January installment.
These are the steps I almost broke my neck on walking back to the house.
I love that my ‘Otto Luyken’ laurels retain their deep green color all year long.
I happen to look down and saw this-
How cute are these tracks!!
I hope where this birdie lives they have a warm and cozy nest I like do.
I hope you do too.
Peace, Kelly
