below is a list of productive things i could have done sunday morning:
- fold clothes
- vacuum the kitchen
- pluck my eyebrows
- pull weeds
instead, i opted to take pictures of the apples that i had bought at the grocery a couple of days earlier.
just for the record, i totally blame kim klassen and her be still 52 class for this…for turning me on to still life photography.
there is something quite calming about still life. for me it’s a good way to clear my head and focus (pun totally intended) on what is in front of me.
playing around with various setups. finding the light.
i feel like it’s breathed a little bit of new life into my photography. because still life doesn’t come easily…i’m feeling challenged again.
i’m feeling inspired again.
i’m loving that feeling of ‘yes!’….this is more like it.
getting out of your comfort zone…it does wonders for your creativity.
thanks for letting me share it with you.
love, kelly
Beautifully done Kelly, each one is a work of art.
Beautiful fall photos Kelly
Love this series of images Kelly! Very well done.
Great variety of shots…now I’m craving an apple!
Still life may not come easily to you, Kelly, but you are mastering it! These are beautiful and apples are such a great subject … any time of year.
Beautiful shots, Kelly. I think about still life but never have really tried it. As always, you inspire me!
Definitely worth not doing chores.
Your images are stunning! Each image is gorgeous!
Yippee for skipping chores and taking pictures instead. I love the quote, “A well kept house is the sign of a misspent life.” Your pictures are beautiful – showing so many different perspectives and styles. It brings me great joy to watch your process – love seeing how you see and watching your work evolve.
That last one would make a great desktop calendar. Just sayin’. 🙂
haha…one step ahead of you. 😉
Beautiful pictures, All! Well done! Apples and weathered barn wood — you can’t go wrong!
Wonderful images, I love that you didn’t worry and let yourself enjoy your still life photography !
And Kim has taught you well, Kelly. These are so inviting. I love your displays.
Oh this is way more productive than all those things on that list! I absolutely love these!!!
Lovely series of still lifes!
