this past weekend i went to visit my girl.
i met her at the studio where she works – they just moved into a new, larger space and she showed me around. she is so excited to have her own desk space now.
we went to a fun, downtown hotel for a cocktail…a chance to catch up. even though i text or talk to her everyday, there is no substitute for a face to face conversation.
the rest of the weekend included some of our favorite things – a little shopping, a little eating, and of course starbucks. but what i loved was having kelsey show me around her town. i loved that she was sharing this part of her life with me.
while i was at the studio, kelsey brought out the most recent edition of brides of oklahoma magazine. and right there on page 91 was a photo of a floral parasol that my girl had made.
she made this.
there is nothing in the world more gratifying as a parent than to see your child happy. to see her pursuing her passion and finding her way in this world.
i just love watching her bloom.
love, kelly
That is awesome! 🙂
