Wednesday. A little of this, a little of that. A little work. A little shopping. A little laundry. A little walking.
It was during said walk when I noticed the clematis vine in my neighbor’s front yard yesterday. Rather unruly I thought to myself, but exactly why I loved it and stopped to take its picture.
If you have been following my blog for very long, you’ll know that I actually have quite the fondness for garden plants that grow and spill out of their borders.
Unlike my husband, but that’s another story for another day.
I think what I love most about this clematis is the contrast of this untamed vine set against my neighbor’s brick retaining wall and pristinely manicured lawn. The ying and yang of it. How this little bit of unruliness adds charm and delight in an otherwise monotonous sea of tightly shorn green grass.
I was thinking about that as I walked home. The ying and yang of life. How maybe a little unruliness once in a while (I’m looking at you, Tuesday) keeps life interesting and provides opportunities for growth.
And so I am feeling thankful today for the gift of photography in my life and how it helps me to see life differently. As always thank you for letting me share my photos and stories with you.
Love, Kelly
