the other night as we sat down to dinner, tripp told us about an article he was reading in the paper. apparently the institution of marriage is on the decline.
the three of us ~ tripp, kelsey, and i ~ had a great discussion about the topic. interesting to hear the perspective of the younger generation.
today tripp and i are celebrating 22 years of marriage.
regardless of what society think about marriage, to me it is really about building something that is bigger than yourself.
when i said, ‘i do’ i had no idea what our life would be like 22 years later. but what i had hoped was that i would have a partner and a mate for life. someone i could build a life with. and there is not a day that goes by that i am not thankful for this man. and this life we have created together.
happy anniversary dear. thank you for choosing me and for saying, ‘i do’. love, kelly
I’m so glad I met you guys and have got to grow our families and relationships together. Thanks Tripp for having to get your hair cut that minute and for saying I do to Kel!!! 🙂 lol! I saw an article similar to that not to long ago and find it interesting hearing my kids thoughts too. I’m very happy to say that they only want to get married once and they know it’s hard work to stay married but totally worth it!! 🙂
Oh congrats…I can hardly remember 22 since we are about ready to celebrate 50 on the 25th. Enjoy your lives together….it is so wonderful when you have the right partner beside you.
Happy Anniversary you two! I can see what a great marriage you have.
We are on year 37 and I too feel pretty blessed!
Happy Anniversary! You were such a lovely bride and groom! And you are still lovely in the more recent portrait. We’re marching onward to 42 in June. Holy moley! Enjoy your day, you’ve earned it.
Happy Anniversary!!!!
Happy anniversary! Wishing you many, many more years of happiness together.
